Plasma Lift Regina
Plasma Lift Regina - Skin Rejuvenation
Plasma Lift, also known as a Fibroblast treatment, was founded in Europe and has increased in popularity in North America due to its advantages over traditional skin tightening and lifting procedures. With Plasma Lift there is little to no downtime, no cutting or stitches, and is more cost effective.
Salon U offers Plasma Lift to help tighten loose skin almost anywhere on the body. It helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and helps diminish the appearance of stretch marks and scars.
WHAT IS FIBROBLAST PLASMA SKIN TIGHTENING?
Fibroblast plasma skin tigheting is a cosmetic treatment that uses plasma, an ionized gas, to tighten the skin non-surgically, refining the appearance of the skin and reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
Using a scientifically created device, the plasma (ionized gas) creates a small electrical arch, referred to as a plasma flash. A plasma flash forms between the tip of the treatment handpiece and patients skin, thus creating a carbon crust.
How Does It Work
The procedure usually takes 30 – 60 minutes. The results may be seen instantly, although the full results will not be seen for 90 days after treatment. The plasma flash creates tiny dark carbon crusts upon contact. These superficial dots are a part of the normal healing process, and will fall off 5-7 days post-treatment. Local anaesthetic cream is applied for 20 minutes prior to treatment to minimise any discomfort, making the procedure virtually painless. There may be a hot sensation afterwards in the treated area.
HEALING AND AFTERCARE
The healing process can take approximately 5-8 days. Patients are likely to experience some minor side effects such as swelling and redness.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST
1-3 treatments at 6-8 week intervals, depending on individual healing times, may be recommended to achieve the desired results. Although it is more affordable and less invasive nothing will slow down or stop the aging process and factors such as genetics, sun exposure and smoking can alter the results of your procedure.
Depending on the area you wish to treat, and the condition of the skin, you may require additional treatments to further aid in the desired results.
Plasma technology has been used worldwide for several years. There have been occasional reports of temporary post-treatment hyper pigmentation (darkening of skin) but no other adverse side effects have been reported. However, with any procedure involving the skin there is always the possibility of scars.
